Rasc und Gun waren beileibe keine Fremden, als sie im September 2002 Rotersand aus der Taufe hoben. Dieses Mal wollten sie ihre eigene Auffassung von elektronischer Musik umsetzen: mitreißend und kontemplativ, zeitgemäß und doch zeitlos. Die Dynamik, die Rotersand vom Start weg entwickelte, überraschte selbst seine Protagonisten. Als sie im September 2002 "Legends United" Tour als Opener begleiteten, erregte ihre energetische, berührende Musik sofort die Aufmerksamkeit des Publikums. Bereits während dieser ersten Tour konnten sie Krischan E. Wesenberg für Rotersand gewinnen. Dessen Aktivitäten als Produzent von Techno und Electro-Underground hatten Rasc und Gun schon eine Weile lang verfolgt. Und die neue Konstellation erwies sich als Glücksgriff: Vom ersten Tag an gewann die Formation an Dynamik und Durchschlagskraft.

Schon mit ihrer E.P. “Merging Oceans", die im Frühjahr 2003 veröffentlicht wurde, sorgten Gun, Rasc und Krischan für internationale Resonanz. Mehrere Monate lang belegte die Band Spitzenplätze in den Deutschen Alternative Charts, den Nordic Alternative Charts und den Dutch Alternative Charts, der Titelsong “Merging Oceans" wurde weltweit von einschlägigen Radio- und Internetstationen gespielt.

Jetzt, nach fast einem Jahr voller enthusiastischer Feedbacks und permanenter Clubrotation, stellt Rotersand mit “Truth Is Fanatic" sein erstes lange erwartetes Album vor.

When Rasc and Gun decided on forming Rotersand in September2002, they were by no means strangers. Now they were eager to create their very own gestalt of electronic music: invigorating and contemplative, contemporary yet timeless. Almost to their
own surprise the project effortlessly took off. The energetic, poignant sound of Rotersand instantly caught the audiences' attention when they
opened the concerts of the "Legends United" Tour in September 2002. It was during that tour when they convinced Krischan E. Wesenberg to join them.
Rasc and Gun already had followed Krischan's work as a Techno and Electro underground producer for quite some time. From the day they joined forces their music gained even further momentum - they were a instant match.

With their E.P. “Merging Oceans", released in Spring 2003, Gun, Rasc and Krischan, received worldwide attention. For several months the band occupied top rankings in the German alternative Charts, the Nordic alternative Charts and the Dutch alternative Charts and the title track “Merging Oceans" was heavily broadcast by radio and internet stations around the world.

Almost one year of enthusiastic reactions and continuous club rotation later, Rotersand present their long-awaited long player “Truth Is Fanatic".
